RESPA Adopts Changes: General Summary The final rules reforming the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA) have finally been published by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Devleopment (HUD). Generally, these changes to the RESPA rules do not involve the real estate agent; but they are important to know and understand so that the agent can help his client understand lending and closing disclosure requirments. |
